Fruit & vegetable importer in the Netherlands
Crown Fields B.V. is a Rotterdam-based importer of Moroccan fruit and vegetables. We supply wholesalers, retailers and foodservice across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the UK and Scandinavia — direct from the grower, lot-traceable, GlobalG.A.P. and GRASP certified.
Why choose a specialist importer
One corridor. One counterparty. Rotterdam to your DC.
Most Dutch buyers source Moroccan produce through a chain of intermediaries — a forwarder, a customs broker, a Rotterdam trader, then a distributor. Every hand-off adds margin, latency and risk. Crown Fields collapses that chain. We sign the grower contracts in Agadir and Berkane, supervise QC at the packhouse, book the short-sea slot via Tanger Med, clear customs and phyto at Rotterdam Europoort, and dispatch the last-mile reefer to your distribution center.
The result for our customers: planned weekly volumes for the full campaign, a fixed price corridor, lot-level traceability back to the orchard, and a single counterparty responsible for the whole chain. When a pallet leaves Morocco, you know which grower picked it, which packhouse boxed it, which QC inspector approved it and which vessel it shipped on.
We import year-round: Nadorcott and Nour mandarins from late October through February, clementines through January, Valencia oranges from March to July, red bell peppers and Kapia from November through May, watermelons from May to September, tomatoes year-round, plus red fruits and table grapes in season. Programs are tailored to your category mix.

FAQ
Fruit & vegetable importing in the Netherlands
What does a fruit and vegetable importer in the Netherlands do?
A Dutch importer like Crown Fields contracts produce at origin (in our case Morocco), arranges short-sea shipping to Rotterdam, handles EU customs clearance and phytosanitary controls, and distributes pallets to wholesalers, retailers and foodservice across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the UK and the Nordics under continuous reefer.
Which fruits and vegetables do you import into the Netherlands?
Year-round mandarins (Nadorcott, Nour, Afourer), clementines, Valencia oranges, red bell peppers, Kapia peppers, watermelons, tomatoes, red fruits and table grapes — all GlobalG.A.P. and GRASP certified, lot-traceable to the packhouse.
Do you supply only the Netherlands?
No. Rotterdam is our clearing hub. From there we deliver across Germany (Hamburg, Cologne, Munich), Belgium (Brussels, Antwerp), the UK (Felixstowe, Tilbury), Scandinavia (Helsingborg, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo) and Finland.
Can I get a fixed weekly program?
Yes. Most of our buyers run fixed weekly volumes for the full campaign with agreed price corridors, packaging and certification packs per lot. Send your SKUs, sizes and destination DCs and we return a planned offer within one business day.
Are you a trader or a specialist importer?
Specialist. We own the corridor end-to-end: grower contracts at origin, QC at packhouse, short-sea via Tanger Med, customs and phyto in Rotterdam, last-mile reefer across the EU. One counterparty for the whole chain.
